Founded in 1986, China Foundry Association（CFA) is a national first-grade foundry industry organization voluntarily formed by foundry enterprises at all levels, local foundry organizations, research and design institutes, colleges and universities, and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The Secretariat is a permanent institution of the Association, consisting of 5 business units, 46 branch offices, and 2 wholly-owned subsidiaries, with 160 full-time and part-time staff and more than 1000 experts and consultants as volunteers. CFA currently has more than 2400 direct members, in which there are 67 group members. In total, its members reach more than 8000, with 383 director members and 98 managing director members. The casting output of its member units accounts for more than 80% of the total output of the whole country. CFA passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification in 2009 and was evaluated as a "5A" level association by the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2013.
